HTS Direct Drive Train Technology
Ultra low speed direct drive generators are in development in the 10 MW class using superconductor (HTS) wire technology. This unique AMSC Windtec solution will enable light weight, efficient and reliable large offshore wind turbines.
- Next generation technology for above 8 MW turbines
- Lighter than conventional turbines and highly efficient
- HTS wire for turbine supplied by American Superconductor
- Simple switch between 50 Hz and 60 Hz
Blue Meadow Energy’s Smart Solution
Blue Meadow Energy offers service and maintenance of the facility, directly and cost-efficiently, in the form of a specific technology transfer. This technology transfer is possible due to a private customer training, sold separately to the customer in addition to the implementation of the wind farm. This particular service concept makes it possible to build wind turbines in complex and extensive surroundings, and continuously operate them fostering both education and full time jobs within the local infrastructure.
